In Memphis and Shelby County Schools many parents an even teachers have been concerned about there child's future, and the increasing curriculum that has changed in the schools almost every year. These two school systems have been under construction since the beinning of time due to the head authority thats been in charge, the diversity, and even community problems. However, this causes many students to worry about should they attend school or not, which has caused numerous of drop-outs, and also, low graduation rates. These Increasing effects also, relies on the teachers because they are responsible for teaching the children inside and outside of the classrooms because if they don't then they began to wonder about wether or not they should go to school. A parent stuck out to me in this arugment by stating, “They talk about no child left behind. Well, the children are being left behind now because of a controversy between the mayor and school board.” This is so true because we find it so difficult that the school system could be consolidating which will hold the key to change, but what their not understanding is that the change for them may not be a change best fitted for the kids.
Due to the fact of kids having to be way across town when they live on the other side of town just to go to school, also they lack in communicating the impotant things with the parents rather than letting them know what's going on in the school systems. However, I have found out that the No Child Left Behind has had alot to do with many of the schools becoming on the failing list. Also, many drop-outs have occured over the years, and low graduation rates as well. “These drop-outs are not kids just suddenly waking up and saying, I’m going to drop out, said White. “They have experienced a lot of failure along the way and now have gotten to the age where they think they are mature enough to leave school.” This statement was made so that we would understand this man's opinion about what has been going on inside of the school systems and that many kids do drop-out because they have experienced failure from there teachers and even there parents.
i'm going to give you the same advice i gave someone else. because i have a hunch that your paper will be filled with concrete evidence and packed with personal experience. However, i suggest that you not only take your personal account along with evidence acquired through research, but you also gather data from people to collect different aspects to the one issue. in that way you might find interesting things that you didn't think to include into your paper prior. basically what i am talking about is like a poll or survey to ask people their positions on the related issue at hand.
